QBCC Embraces Technology

Great news for Queensland tradies. They can now access their QBCC licence digitally through the Queensland Digital Licence app. This new feature allows licence holders to securely store and display their QBCC credentials on their smartphone, giving them a convenient alternative to carrying a physical licence.

The digital version holds the same legal status as the physical card and updates automatically when QBCC processes renewals or changes. It also makes verification easier on job sites, allowing homeowners, contractors and inspectors to confirm licence details instantly.

Adding a QBCC licence is simple: once the app is set up, users can open the “Wallet” section and follow the prompts to link their licence. While digital licences are optional, they offer tradies a quick, secure and modern way to manage their compliance on the go.
